Wow! I almost couldn't watch it all, especially when she started kicking. But I understand it, with trying to get the fluid out of the lungs and all... I guess.
I've seen this before and must admit it burned a lasting impression into my old memory cells. Though very graphic, it was hard to deny the miracle of birth. Yeah I felt for the baby too as the mother kicked it about, but she knew what was necessary to save her newborn and she did it. Gotta love Mother Nature !
As a life long maker of things, I have explored many medium types before turning to jewelry. It has felt like coming home, in the immediacy and intimacy of the holding and creating of small objects. Jewelry allows one to hold and wear sculptural pieces. Success for me is when someone picks up a piece and says, "this feels good."

yeah, i was worrying about the baby bumping its head coming out, then it wasn't breathing and the mother got frantic...
what's funny is, his first few steps? i'd guess the baby is right hoofed.
Well...
Much as an elephant never forgets, I'll never forget that!
