Evidence of Evolution

Here is the latest stage my silver ball has evolved to...

Its a little larger than I'd anticipated. I'm going to work on the leaves a bit more... so that when it is antiqued the forms will stand out better. I haven't decided on the chain yet, though I think I'll use a cord. Need to mull that over. It will determine how large I make the holes. Making a ball is oddly satisfying. It fits in the hand nicely. Here's a view with the halves apart.

*this is a piece hand carved out of wax and casted into silver. I referred to in the post on Jan. 31st, the oh, balls post.
